Eli really loves lemon sorbet. In fact there's something about lemon sorbet that makes him loose all self control and not only lick the bowl but ask to lick yours too.
What's interesting is that it doesn't happen for any other sorbet or ice cream flavor, only lemon sorbet. I first noticed this phenomenon last summer. We were eating sorbet on our deck after dinner. Eli said, I'll be right back and went into the house.
He came back out with gloves - stating that he needed them to eat his sorbet because it was making him get all chilly inside. Most of us know this as "brain freeze" or some other set of words. The amusing part was that it was close to 80 degrees.
Now lemon sorbet has become an insiders joke for me - and I don't usually even say stop slurping or say it's not polite. Instead I get ready for some mommy humor - and it was perfect this time because Dad wasn't home - but he really enjoyed our video handiwork.
I taped Eli on my iphone and in retrospect wish we had more lights on because the video is a little dark but it still brings a huge smile to my face. Video one I took right as the slurping started and Eli being the ham that he is...well you'll see.
Video 2 was taken at Eli's request which is most noticeable at the end.
